    Pregnancy: Most PPO Insurance Plans cover midwifery services and we happily offer pregnancy care insurance billing reimbursement services.

    Wellbody: Visits outside of pregnancy are typically out-of-network for most plans. We can happily provide you with a Superbill if you intend to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for those services.

    *Unfortunately, at this time, MaineCare (Medicaid) does not cover Soft Corner services.

  • In the absence of insurance, Soft Corner accepts HSA, FSA, cash, check, credit, and offers a variety of payment plans.

  • Yes! We have partnered with United Credit for those seeking financing for their midwifery care.

  • Yes! Financial aid via the Birth Equity Program is available.

  • The Soft Corner fee for prenatal care, labor, and delivery and 8 weeks of postpartum and newborn care is $8,200.

    Soft Corner proudly offers a variety of payment plans, early payment discounts, insurance billing reimbursement, and financial aid. We never want finances to be the ultimate decider for you choosing the care you want!

    ***In Maine, the average cost of having a natural uncomplicated birth at a public hospital is $18,947. 1/3 of hospital deliveries in the US are induced and often accrue further costs with concurrent management. Whether planned or not, 1/3 of hospital deliveries result in a cesarean section (alone costing $23,347 in Maine). These numbers do not include prenatal, postpartum, well body or well baby care. A hospital provider package of prenatal care, hospital delivery and postpartum care averages $50,000. Most hospital care packages provide only 5 minutes of face-time with your provider per visit, only 1 well baby visit, and 1 postpartum visit. Soft Corner Midwifery prides itself in price transparency and keeping exceptional care accessible. Pricing your pregnancy can be quite overwhelming. Please reach out if you have any questions.***

  • The birth center facility fee is $2,500. There is also a 20% discount for payment by 36 weeks gestation.

  • The prenatal and postpartum care package for those planning a birth with a hospital provider is $2,800. This care is offered concurrently to the care offered by your hospital provider.

  • We keep all of our visit prices online. You can see when scheduling your care. :)

  • The postpartum care package s $1,800.

    ***Guess what?! This fee is already included in care for those choosing to work with Soft Corner prenatally. :)

  • At home IUI is $350. This includes the midwives being on-call for your ovulation. If needed, sperm washing is an additional $150.
