Lauren came to midwifery through a lifelong love of caring for children, supporting families, and building community. Working with families has shaped her understanding of what it means to nurture, advocate for, and walk alongside others. Her path to midwifery grew from this foundation, bringing together her love of caregiving with her passion for reproductive justice, education, and community care.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Lauren relocated to Maine in 2021 to pursue her education in midwifery. With a background in Global Health and Philosophy, she became interested in the pathways to support bodily autonomy, reproductive justice, and the liberation of birthing people. Her entry into birth work began as a doula, where she spent years supporting families through their reproductive journeys and developing a deep appreciation for the power of connection, presence, and continuous care.
Lauren is passionate about developing meaningful support systems and guiding families through the full spectrum of care and family building. She believes that everyone deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered in their care, and that strong communities are an essential part of helping families thrive. She brings a warm, grounded presence to her work and feels honored to walk alongside you as you navigate big transitions!
